Titans QB Marcus Mariota, Raiders DE Khalil Mack and Chiefs K Cairo Santos named AFC Players of Month for November​

Quarterback Marcus Mariota of the Tennessee Titans, defensive end Khalil Mack of the Oakland Raiders and kicker Cairo Santos of the Kansas City Chiefs are the AFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Month for November.

Mariota completed 86-of-130 passes for 1,124 yards with 11 touchdowns, two interceptions and a 115.0 passer rating in four games — against the Chargers, Packers, Colts and Bears. He also rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown. Mack recorded 12 tackles (11 solo), 4 sacks, 6 quarterback hits, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 passes defensed, 1 interception and one touchdown, helping the Raiders go 3-0 in November. He earned Defensive Player of the Week for his Week 9 performance in the Raiders’ win over the Denver Broncos, as well as Week 12 for his performance against the Carolina Panthers.

This is the first award for Santos in his career, and the second for a Chiefs kicker. The last Chiefs kicker to win Player of the Month was Pete Stoyanovich in December of 1997. Chiefs WR-KR Tyreek Hill, Raiders DE Khalil Mack and Ravens K Justin Tucker named AFC Players of Week 12

Wide receiver/kick returner Tyreek Hill of the Kansas City Chiefs, defensive end Khalil Mack of the Oakland Raiders and kicker Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens are the AFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played the 12th week of the 2016 season (November 24, 27-28).

Between receptions (9), rushes (1) and returns (3), Hill compiled a grand total of 169 yards in Week 12. In addition to that, Hill hit a top speed of 22.77 miles per hour during his return, the fastest of any player in the NFL this season.

Mack 6 tackles (6 solo), 1 sack, 3 quarterback hits, 1 interception, 1 touchdown, 1 pass defensed, 1 forced fumble and one fumble recovery in the Raiders’ 35-32 victory over the Carolina Panthers in Week 12. He became the first player since 2009 to have an interception, sack, forced fumble, fumble recovery and a touchdown in the same game; was also the only player this week to do this. He also recorded his first career touchdown, intercepting a screen pass and returning it 11 yards for the score in the second quarter.

Tucker won the weekly award after he hit four field goals, including three from beyond 50 yards (52, 57 and 54), in Sunday’s 19-14 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He became the first kicker in NFL history to nail three kicks from more than 50 yards in the first half of a game. He’s the ninth kicker to make three field goals from that range in a game.

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon, Raiders DE Khalil Mack and Colts KR Jordan Todman named AFC Players of Week 9

Running back Melvin Gordon of the San Diego Chargers, defensive end Khalil Mack of the Oakland Raiders and kick returner Jordan Todman of the Indianapolis Colts are the AFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played the ninth week of the 2016 season (November 3, 6-7).

Gordon rushed 196 yards in 32 attempts on Sunday, and received for one touchdown in four receptions for 65 yards as well in the Chargers' 43-35 win over the Tennessee Titans.

Mack recorded 3 tackles (2 solo), 2 sacks (-17 yards), 1 tackle for loss, 1 quarterback hit, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and 1 pass defensed in the Raiders’ 30-20 victory over the Denver Broncos. He dominated the Broncos’ offensive line throughout the game, leading a defense that held Denver to 299 total yards and 33 rushing yards.

Todman took off on a 99-yard kick return to start the Colts' 31-26 victory on Sunday. The kick return for a touchdown was the first the Colts have had since Deji Karim’s in 2012. It was the team’s first opening-kick return for a touchdown since 1995 (Aaron Bailey). Also, Todman provided a 61-yard return in the second quarter, which led to an Adam Vinatieri field goal.
