The Giants on Wednesday signed Olivier Vernon for 5 years, $85 million, $52.5 million guaranteed.
Vernon was originally placed under a franchise tag with the Miami Dolphins this offseason, but it's very clear that that was taken away from him.
Rumors had been circulating that the Dolphins may have taken the tag away from Vernon, which they obviously did.
