New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman returned to Patriots practice on Tuesday after coming of the PUP list, but reportedly injured his lower-left leg in the practice.
Edelman, who underwent minor foot surgery in May, had a Patriots trainer looking at his lower left leg. He sat on a cart for a bit before leaving the field on his own, according to reports.
Edelman, 30, broke his left foot last November, ending his regular season with 61 catches and 692 yards in seven games. He returned for two playoff games, recording 17 catches for 153 yards.
The May surgery reportedly was to reinsert a screw from a past procedure.
