The team signed Ryan Mallett to a deal that could be worth up to $2.5 million in 2016. The deal includes a $1.5 million base salary and $1 million in incentives.
A 2011 third-round pick of the Patriots, Mallett started six games in Houston over the last two years. But he fell out of favor with coach Bill O’Brien multiple instances of showing up late to work.
