The 49ers have fired defensive coordinator Eric Mangini, according to a report from NFL Insider Ian Rapoport on Friday. Rapoport added San Francisco has also offered Lions run game coordinator Curtis Modkins its offensive coordinator job.
It has also been reported that the Niners have also agreed to terms with Bears special teams assistant Derius Swinton. Swinton will be the team's new special teams coordinator.
