Panthers wide reciever Corey Brown had one touchdown and Cardinals running back David Johnson had one TD as well. Also scoring a TD for the Panthers was WRs Devin Funchess and Ted Ginn. DENVER – The Denver Broncos are one win away from becoming Super Bowl champions for the 2015 NFL season.

With less than 20 seconds to go in today's AFC Championship game between the Patriots and the Broncos, the Patriots were losing by eight. But Tom Brady threw a touchdown pass that put the Patriots behind by two. All Brady needed to do was get the team a two-point conversion, but he was unsuccessful.

The Patriots tried an onside kick to recover the ball but the Broncos gained control of the ball. With one last snap, the Broncos ended the Patriots' season.

The final score: The Broncos beat the Patriots 20-18.

The win marks the Broncos' second Super Bowl appearance in three years and Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning's fourth trip to the championship game.

Fantasy Analysis: Brady, Palmer good QB's for AFC and NFC Title Games

"The 100 Yards" Fantasy Football Analysis Report
Tom Brady
QB:
Tom Brady: Brady rushed and threw a total of three touchdowns in Saturday's divisional round playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He threw 302 yards in the game. Brady is going against Peyton Manning and the Broncos, which will not be an easy matchup, but expect Brady to throw at least two touchdowns and rush at least one.

Carson Palmer: Palmer threw three touchdown passes for 349 yards in Saturday night's divisional round playoff matchup win against the Green Bay Packers. For the NFC Title Game, Palmer and the Cardinals facing Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, which just like for Brady facing Manning and the Broncos, will be a tough matchup to win. Despite that, expect Palmer to back up his performance against the Packers to have a game just as good against the Panthers.

WR:
Julian Edelman: Edelman has proved all season that he is one of the best offensive players in the league this season, making him the perfect wide reciever to pick when he faces the Broncos defense this weekend.

Larry Fitzgerald: Fitzgerald ran 176 yards for one touchdown in the Cardinals' 26-20 win over the Packers on Saturday night.

Emmanuel Sanders: Even though he was without a touchdown in the Broncos' divisional round playoff victory on Sunday against the Steelers, Sanders did rush 85 yards in the game. Like Edelman, Sanders has proven that he is one of the best wide recievers in the league, making him a wise pick as a WR for the weekend.

TE:
Rob Gronkowski: Throughout his six seasons in the NFL, especially this season, Gronk has proven himself worthy of being the best tight end in the league today. In Saturday's win over the Chiefs, Gronkowski had his first of two touchdowns in the Patriots opening drive in the first quarter, and he rushed 83 yards in the game. Gronkowski is a definite to put in your lineup this weekend.

Greg Olsen: Olsen had a touchdown and rushed 77 yards in the Panthers' victory on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

K:
Stephen Gostkowski: Gostkowski made both of his field goal attempts and made all three of his extra points on Saturday against the Chiefs, making him a wise kicker choice when he faces the Broncos this weekend.

Chandler Catanzaro: Catanzaro made both of his two field goal attempts and made both of his two extra point attempts in the Cardinals' overtime victory against the Packers on Saturday.

D/ST:
Carolina Panthers: A defense for a team that only loses one game of 16 in a regular must be a strong one, which is what the Panthers defense did. The Panthers defense almost shut out the Seahawks before giving up 24 points to the Seahawks offense in the Panthers' victory on Sunday against them. But Carolina's defense has proven this season that they are one of the best in the league.

New England Patriots: Like the Panthers' defense, the Patriots have proven that their defense is also very strong. Expect the New England defense to perform very well against Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense.

Injury Notebook: Panthers' Jared Allen (foot) doubtful to play in NFC title game

"The 100 Yards" Injury Report

Jared Allen
1. Panthers defensive end Jared Allen suffered a fracture in his foot during Carolina's 31-24 win over the Seahawks, coach Ron Rivera said. He is day-to-day and won't practice Wednesday, Rivera said.

2. When Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats was quickly declared out after suffering a pectoral injury against the Broncos, there was a reason for concern. The injury was not as severe as originally feared, though. Rapoport reported that Moats suffered only a strain.

3. Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul underwent surgery Monday on his hand, which he injured during a Fourth of July weekend fireworks incident.

4. Safety and return man Omar Bolden will miss the remainder of the postseason after suffering a partial PCL tear in Denver's 23-16 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, coach Gary Kubiak confirmed Monday. The team will place him on injured reserve.

"The 100 Yards" Fantasy Football Analysis Report

NOTE: Time has been limited for all of our writers this week so we will have a very small Fantasy Report this week. Not as many positions will be covered in this specific report, so it is limited.

Aaron Rodgers
QB:
Aaron Rodgers: Rodgers had 210 pass yards, including two touchdowns in 36 attempys and 21 completions in the 2015 season Wild-Card Round.

Russell Wilson: Wilson had 142 pass yards and a touchdown in 26 attempts and 13 completions in the Wild-Card Round.

K:
Chris Boswell: Boswell made all four field goal attempts in the Wild-Card Round.

Cairo Santos: Santos made all three field goal attempts in the Wild-Card Round. He also made all three of his Extra-Point attempts.

WR:
Antonio Brown: Brown had seven receptions for 119 rushing yard in the Wild-Card Round.

James Jones: Jones had 7 receptions for 81 rushing yards in the Wild-Card Round.

TE:
Rob Gronkowski: Gronk was not at the Patriots' team practice on Tuesday, but is most likely being rested. Gronk has proved all season that he is one of the best tight ends in the league today, and he has proven that in some of his previous seasons.

Travis Kelce: Kelce caught eight of 10 targets for 128 yards in Sunday's win over the Texans.

D/ST:
Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks defense only gave up one touchdown against the Vikings in the Wild-Card Round, as the Seahawks won the game 10-9 to eliminate the Vikings from the 2015 season playoff.

Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs defense is a fantastic line that can have a chance to beat any opponent it faces. It kept the Texans from scoring anything in a 30-0 Chiefs victory in the Wild-Card Round.

Rams approved to relocate to Los Angeles; Raiders stay in Oakland; Chargers may join Rams

"The 100 Yards" Staff Report

The St. Louis Rams have been approved to move back to where the team started, Los Angeles.

The team played in Los Angeles from 1946 to 1979. They played in Anaheim, California from 1980 to 1994.

The Rams' site in Inglewood was approved by owners by vote of 30-2. The Chargers have an option to join Rams in Los Angeles, California. The Raiders have decided to remain in Oakland.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said during a Tuesday night news conference that the league will provide $100 million to both the Chargers and Raiders if they remain in their current home markets.

St. Louis made a strong effort to keep the Rams, submitting a plan to the league for a $1.1 billion venue on the city's riverfront. Rams owner Stan Kroenke was determined to return the franchise to L.A., however.

"We understand the emotions involved of our fans and it's not easy to do these things," Kroenke said. "They are purposely made hard, but we're here today. We made a decision and we worked long and hard at the various alternatives. When they didn't succeed we worked to this point."

Recaps of yesterday's NFL Playoff games

PACKERS 35, REDSKINS 18

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) Aaron Rodgers recovered from a poor start to throw for two touchdowns, Eddie Lacy and James Starks each ran for a score, and the Green Bay Packers came back to beat the Washington Redskins 35-18 in an NFC wild-card game Sunday.

Rodgers opened 1 for 8, and Green Bay's first four drives ended this way: punt, safety, punt, punt. Trailing 11-0, the Packers used a bit of hurry-up to score 17 consecutive points, then put the game away on the ground. Rodgers connected with Randall Cobb and Davante Adams for TDs. After rushing for only 17 yards in the first half, the Packers finished with 141.

Green Bay (11-6), which lost its last two regular-season games, will play at Arizona on Saturday.

NFC East champion Washington (9-8) had won four games in a row, but its season ends without a victory over a winning team.

SEAHAWKS 10, VIKINGS 9

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Blair Walsh's 27-yard field goal try into the frigid wind hooked left with 22 seconds remaining, handing Seattle a victory over stunned Minnesota in a wild-card round playoff game in below-zero weather that tied for the third-coldest NFL game on record.

The Seahawks (11-6) didn't score until Russell Wilson's short touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin early in the fourth quarter, and a fumble by Adrian Peterson for the Vikings on the next possession set up a field goal by Steven Hauschka.

The Vikings (11-6) took the ball back with 1:42 left at their 39 and, aided by a pass interference penalty on Kam Chancellor, drove deep into Seattle's territory. After draining the clock for the seemingly inevitable win, Walsh missed the winner. He made all three of his earlier attempts.

Seattle will play next weekend at Carolina, where the Panthers had a first-round bye in balmy mid-50s weather.

Seahawks P Ryan injured in game against Vikings

"The 100 Yards" Injury Report
Jon Ryan

MINNESOTA – Seahawks punter Jon Ryan was banged up after a botched snap in the first quarter of Seattle’s NFC wild card game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Clint Gresham delivered a low snap to Ryan. By the time Ryan got the ball under control, Minnesota’s defense was converging.
Ryan flipped and came down on the Seattle 29, emerging with a bloody nose.

There was no immediate word on the extent of Ryan’s injury. His return was listed as questionable, though he was on the sidelines kicking into a net soon after.

Ryan would return in the 2nd quarter for the Seahawks.

Recaps of yesterday's NFL Playoff games

STEELERS 18, BENGALS 16

CINCINNATI (AP) The Pittsburgh Steelers are heading to Denver. The Cincinnati Bengals are heading to another long offseason after a meltdown as ugly and ill-timed as it was complete.

Chris Boswell kicked a 35-yard field goal with 14 seconds remaining as the Steelers somehow pulled out an 18-16 victory in the AFC wild-card game Saturday night.

Pittsburgh (11-6) moved into field goal position after a pair of 15-yard penalties on the Bengals, one on linebacker Vontaze Burfict and another on Adam Jones after Burfict hit defenseless Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown. Boswell drilled his fourth field goal of the game to give the Steelers their first playoff win since the 2010 AFC championship game.

The Bengals (12-5) appeared to be in position for their first postseason win in 25 years before Jeremy Hill's fumble gave Pittsburgh one last shot.

Roethlisberger left with a right shoulder injury on the final play of the third quarter but returned for Pittsburgh's last-gasp drive. Unable to throw with any real authority, he still managed to get the Steelers near midfield with 22 seconds to go when he threw high to Brown in Cincinnati territory.

CHIEFS 30, TEXANS 0

HOUSTON (AP) - Knile Davis had a 106-yard kickoff return and the Kansas City defense forced five turnovers to cruise to the Chiefs' first playoff win since 1994, a wild-card victory over the Houston Texans.

On the opening kickoff, Davis got three good blocks around the 10-yard line and then simply outran the rest of the defenders for the second-longest kickoff return TD in postseason history. The defense took over after that, harassing Brian Hoyer into a fumble and three of his career-high four interceptions before halftime to help the Chiefs (12-5) take a 13-0 lead at halftime.

Alex Smith threw a touchdown pass and Spencer Ware added a 5-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter to make it 27-0.

The victory broke a streak of eight straight playoff losses by the Chiefs and was their first postseason win since beating the Oilers in Houston on Jan. 16, 1994. They have won 11 straight games.

Hoyer, booed all afternoon, was 15 of 34 for 136 yards as Houston (9-8) lost a home playoff game for the first time.

Fantasy Analysis: Wilson best QB pick for round one of playoffs

"The 100 Yards" Fantasy Football Analysis Report (Playoff Edition)

Russell Wilson
QB:
Russell Wilson: Going Against: Minnesota Vikings

• Wilson completed 19 of 28 attempted passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in Week #17. Wilson finished the 2015 NFL season with 34 passing touchdowns.

Kirk Cousins: Going Against: Green Bay Packers

• Cousins may have only played the first quarter during his Week #17 game with the Redskins on Sunday, but he completed 12 of 15 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns in the Redskins' 34-23 win against the Dallas Cowboys. Expect Cousins to have another stellar performance against the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

RB:
Jeremy Hill: Going Against: Pittsburgh Steelers

• Hill had a stellar Week #17. He ran 96 yards and a touchdown in 16 carries as he and the Cincinnatti Bengals beat the Baltimore Ravens 24-16. Hill should have another great showing against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card Roudn of the 2015 season playoffs.

Charcandrick West: Going Against: Houston Texans

• West had 13 carries for 34 yards on Sunday in Week #17 as he and the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Oakland Raiders 23-17.

• Hauschka completed 3 of 4 field goal attempts and 3 of 4 extra point attempts as he and the Seattle Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals 36-6.

Cairo Santos: Going Against: Houston Texans

• Santos really did not have any official field goals in Week #17. One was a fake field goal where Santos completed a three-yard pass, and the other as waived off because of a penalty. Santos is playing in a Wild Card Round game against the Minnesota Vikings in what should be a low scoring game and should come down to at least one field goal.
D/ST:
Seattle Seahawks: Going Against: Minnesota Vikings

• The Seahawks' defense has proven all season that they are not one to be sat. They have shown that they are one of the most dominant defensive lines in the league.

Kansas City Chiefs: Going Against: Houston Texans

• The Kansas City Chiefs defense is going against a Houston Texans offense that they are definitely capable of beating in the Wild Card Round of the 2015 season playoffs.

Pagano hinted Monday night on NFL Network changes to the staff could be coming.

"We've had a bunch of discussions, like I said, and we've got a lot of things like everybody else that's done playing," Pagano said. "There are teams obviously that are still in preparation (mode); the teams that made the playoffs, obviously. But everybody else is still in the evaluation mode now, and we're going to roll up our shirtsleeves and go to work. And, again, everything we do is based on two things: What's best for this team and what gives us the best chance to win."

49ers fire head coach Tomsula after one season

"The 100 Yards" Roster Report
Jim Tomsula
The San Francisco 49ers announced Sunday night that Jim Tomsula was fired after only one season at the helm of the team. The 49ers won 19-16 in overtime against the Rams on Sunday to finish 5-11.

Tomsula  was essentially fired for the failures of 49ers management over the last few years. Owner Jed York did not mention the fate of general manager Trent Baalke in his statement.

"Jimmy has been a valuable member of the 49ers organization for the last nine years," said York. "We all know he is a man of high character, and his contributions on the field and in our community have always been greatly appreciated. This entire organization is proud and grateful to have worked so closely alongside Jimmy. We all wish him and his family great success in the future."
