Ingram, Collins, Lockett named NFC Players of Week 11

Running back Mark Ingram of the New Orleans Saints, safety Landon Collins of the New York Giants and kick returner-wide receiver Tyler Lockett of the Seattle Seahawks are the NFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played in Week 11 (November 16, November 19-20).

Ingram led the Saints in rushing in the team's 34-31 thrilling overtime victory over Washington with 11 carries for a season-high 134 yards with one touchdown. Ingram recorded the longest run of the day with a 36-yard touchdown run. Ingram also surpassed 5,000 career rushing yards becoming only the second Saint to do so. Ingram's two runs in overtime set up Wil Lutz's game-winning field goal.

Collins led the Giants with a career-high 14 tackles (10 solo) and intercepted his second pass of the season. He had nine tackles (seven solo) and the interception in the second half and overtime.

Lockett piled up 197 yards on five kick returns, which was not only a career high for him, but the fifth highest single-game total in franchise history behind Leon Washington (253), Maurice Morris (231), Washington again (222) and Charlie Rogers (198). That was also the highest kick return total in a game since the NFL moved the touchback on kickoffs from the 20 to the 25-yard line in order to discourage returns.

Rams RB Todd Gurley, Panthers DE Julius Peppers and Rams K Greg Zuerelin named NFC Players of Week 4

Running back Todd Gurley of the Los Angeles Rams, defensive end Julius Peppers of the Carolina Panthers and kicker Greg Zuerlein of the Los Angeles Rams are the NFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played in Week 4 (September 28, October 1-2).

Gurley accumulated 215 yards from scrimmage in Dallas, leading Los Angeles in both rushing and receiving. He finished with 23 carries for 121 yards — marking his first back-to-back games with at least 100 yards rushing since Week 7 and Week 8 of 2015 — and seven receptions for 94 yards. The Georgia product caught a 53-yard touchdown in the third quarter, the longest reception of his young career.

Peppers finished the game with two sacks, three quarterback hurries and four total tackles. This season, Peppers has recorded a team-high 4.5 sacks, ranking third in the NFC and fifth in the NFL overall. The nine-time Pro Bowler is Carolina's all-time leader in sacks with 85.5. He has the most sacks of any active NFL player with 148.0 career sacks, and is just 2.5 sacks from tying Chris Doleman for fourth all-time in NFL history.

Zuerlein has been named NFC Special Teams player of the Week after accounting for 23 points on Sunday, with two extra points accompanying his seven field goals. Zuerlein’s field goals came from 49, 44, 44, 30, 28, 43, and 33-yards out. He has made all 28 of his attempted kicks this season — 14 field goals, and 14 extra points, leading the league in both categories. He currently leads the league with 56 points scored, just ahead of No. 2 teammate Todd Gurley who has 42. Zuerlein has converted his last 18 field goal attempts dating back to last year. It’s Zuerlein’s fourth Player of the Week award, having previously received the honor in Week 4 of 2012, Week 13 of 2012, and Week 11 of 2014.

Falcons RB Devonta Freeman, Packers S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Giants P Brad Wing named NFC Players of Week 15

Running back Devonta Freeman of the Atlanta Falcons, safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix of the Green Bay Packers and punter Brad Wing of the New York Giants are the NFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played the 15th week of the 2016 season (December 15, 17-19).

Freeman posted his third career three touchdown game in Atlanta’s 41-13 win over San Francisco. The running back out of Florida State is the only player in the NFL over the last two years who has had three games with three rushing touchdowns and now has seven multi-touchdown games for his career.

Clinton-Dix intercepted two passes from Bears QB Matt Barkley on back-to-back series in the third quarter on Sunday in Chicago, both setting up touchdowns for Green Bay's offense in the victory.

Wing had a 41.0-yard net average on seven punts, including one that was partially blocked and travelled only 18 yards. With the Lions trying to mount a comeback in the second half, Wing booted three consecutive punts that forced them to take possession at their own three, four and 19-yard lines. Detroit totaled just 11 punt return yards, and three points on seven possessions following Wing’s punts.

Saints RB Mark Ingram, Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul and Lions K Matt Prater named NFC Players of Week 12

Running back Mark Ingram of the New Orleans Saints, defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul of the New York Giants and kicker Matt Prater of the Detroit Lions are the NFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played the 12th week of the 2016 season (November 24, 27-28).

Ingram scored two touchdowns - one on a 10-yard run, the other on a 21-yard reception - and he ran for 146 yards on just 14 carries (10.4 yards per carry) in Week 12. For the season he has 721 yards on 136 carries with threee touchdowns. He also has added 30 receptions for 248 yards and four touchdowns.

Pierre-Paul established a career-high with 3.0 sacks of Josh McCown, forced a fumble that was recovered by Kerry Wynn, and caught a ball McCown had fumbled in midair - after it was forced by Johnathan Hankins - and returned it 43 yards for his third career touchdown in Week 12.

Prater tied the game with a 48-yarder with 1:45 left to play in the game, and then nailed a game-winning 40-yarder as time expired in Week 12. He now has 12 career game-winning kicks with less than 2:00 to play in the fourth quarter or in overtime. This was the third time in Prater’s career (first with the Lions) that he has connected on a game-tying field goal with less than 2:00 minutes to play in the fourth quarter, and then made the game-winning field goal later in the fourth quarter or in OT.
