The Cleveland Browns announced they have signed LB Scooby Wright III to the practice squad on Thursday. To make room, the team released P Michael Palardy from the practice squad.
Wright was selected by the Browns in the seventh round of the 2016 draft. He was inactive for the first two games and was waived on Sept. 20.
In college with Arizona, Wright started 29 of 30 career games played Totaled 269 tackles, 16.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and an INT. He started three games in 2015 after su ering an injury. He was named the New Mexico Bowl Defensive MVP after notch- ing 15 tackles and two sacks, and he earned the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Rotary Lombardi Award, the Chuck Bednarik Award and the Pat Tillman Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2014, ranking in the top-5 of the FBS in tackles (163), sacks (14) and forced fumbles (six).
