The Buffalo Bills signed free agent S James Ihedigbo Tuesday and released S Duke Williams.
Ihedigbo, 32, is an eight-year NFL veteran, who last played for the Detroit Lions in 2015 where he appeared in 15 games making eight starts. He had 63 tackles last year with a pair of pass breakups and an interception. He had a workout last week with the club before they signed S Sergio Brown.
Williams, a former fourth-round pick of the Bills (2013), was never able to crack the defensive lineup as a consistent starter at safety as he served primarily on special teams in his three-plus seasons with Buffalo.
