Jaguars' Bortles 'threw pretty well' despite sore shoulder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Jacksonville Jaguars coach Gus Bradley says quarterback Blake Bortles "threw pretty well" in practice Wednesday despite a sore right shoulder.

Bortles adds that he got treatment and will "be good to go" when the Jaguars (2-8) play at Buffalo (5-5) on Sunday.

Bortles injured his throwing shoulder while being tackled last week at Detroit. He stayed in the game, completing 22 of 35 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns in the 26-19 loss. He also threw two interceptions, including one on the penultimate play of the game.

He practiced in full Wednesday. Five other starters sat out the session: defensive tackle Abry Jones (ankle), defensive end Jared Odrick (shoulder), linebacker Dan Skuta (back), tight end Julius Thomas (back) and running back T.J. Yeldon (ankle).
