Bucs trade CB Jonathan Banks to Lions for 2018 seventh-rounder

Reports say that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday traded CB Jonathan Banks to the Detroit Lions for a 2018 seventh-round pick.

Banks was selected in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Buccaneers. He has started 30-of-31 career games, totaling 104 tackles, 16 passes defensed and seven interceptions returned for 102 yards and one touchdown. He has tied for most career interceptions by second-year players with seven. Banks ranks tied for seventh in the NFL and tied for third among cornerbacks in interceptions since entering the NFL in 2013.
