Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan says at his presser on Monday that Sammy Watkins is eligible to return to practice this week, but isn’t quite ready yet.
"I just met with Sammy. He feels fantastic," Ryan said. "But we're going to be smart with him until he can be back out there."
The Bills have been without the star wide receiver for seven games after he was placed on injured reserve back in late September.
In 2015, Watkins played and started in 13 games accumulating 60 recep ons for 1,047 yards and 9 touchdowns, and tallied his first ever 1,000 yard receiving year. In 2014, he started all 16 games, and finished his rookie campaign with 65 receptions for 982 yards and six touchdowns.
"We're excited about the seven games in front of us," Ryan also said. "This should be the healthiest we've been in a long time. Fresh energy and passion."
